Can we married legally in UK so that I can obtain the ILR Visa to countinue my study and work full time. Can I married legally in UK and obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa?
smells like one of those scam weddings to meCan I married legally in UK and obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain Visa?
Thats quick marriage, u found a woman within three months of coming %26amp; now in couple of months marrying her, kinda unbelieveable.

You need COA (Certificate of Approval) from home office and you can only apply for that when u have lived in UK for 185 (or more days), on top she has ILR, you will be given 5 years spouse visa to live in UK, after completion of 5 years you will be awarded ILR, when u pass IELTS (or approved UK English language test) %26amp; UK Culture %26amp; history test. Keep in mind that u will still be paying overseas (non EU) fee since u need to pay TAX for three years in UK (or EU) to qualify for home student fee.

Good luck
This is a marriage of convenience. I bet she recieved her ILR recently. I hope to god, inshallah you get deported. You want a publically funded life so you can call your relatives over. The specialist intelligence unit within immigration will be tracking your case. GO back to pakistan and help them you are not wanted and I hope your wifes ILR gets revoked. Inshallah ameen.

Indefinite leave to remain refers to the right to reside permanently in the United Kingdom without any time limit and with no conditions attached. Adams can provide comprehensive help in this area covering all aspects of your proposed application for indefinite leave to remain. Our experienced immigration law specialists can help with all the necessary paperwork and will also ensure that application meets the required standards.

In brief, in order to obtain indefinite leave to remain in the United Kingdom, you currently need to have resided in this country for five or more continuous years. The exact length of time depending on your current visa status but one of the important points to know is that in April 2006, the Home Office changed the rules so that those in the UK in all employment-related categories and the Ancestry category are now required to live in the UK for a period of five years, before being eligible for indefinite leave to remain. This has been changed from a previous period of four continuous years. In addition, from April 2007, it will be necessary to show knowledge of the English Language and UK culture by passing a “Life in the UK” test, which is currently a requirement for those seeking citizenship.

The key exemption to this rule is where you have been legally married to a British citizen for more than two years and lived in the United Kingdom for two years, in which case you are immediately eligible to apply for indefinite leave to remain.

Pauper Prince is almost right. If you intend to settle in the UK after marriage, you must say so on your application for a certificate of approval. If you don't and then apply for an extension of stay afterwards, you run the risk of having your visa revoked for lying. The usual extension of stay allowed for someone married to a spouse who is settled in the UK is 2 years, not 5, and if you are still together after that you can apply for ILR. Only the Life in the UK test is necessary at that point as you need to be able to demonstrate competence in the English language to be able to do the test anyway!

You haven't known each other very long, though - if you apply for a certificate of approval, expect to be questioned closely.
This small island is already very overcrowded and does not have the housing and infrastructure to cope with ever increasing population. I understand how tempting it must be for you to take advantage of our weak, soft government, who has lost all control of immigration, migration and asylum. Please do the right thing and go back to Pakistan.
you can not get married whilst on your student visa. The Registrars in the UK know that.

You need to return to your home country and apply for a fiancee visa. If you get that, then you can get married.
you will get correct answer only from your city council and cot catt their marriage division ,take an appointment and speak to them in person to find out that you can legally marry here.
