What ceremonies do atheists have when getting married?

Is it anything similar to those with faith, or just two meet and mate and thats it?What ceremonies do atheists have when getting married?
A civil marriage ceremony at a courthouse or a convention center.

The way you asked this question was offensive and rude (Just thought you might want to know). What ceremonies do atheists have when getting married?
There are humanist/atheist/secular wedding officiants. Besides the vows, the wedding ceremony is mostly traditional and cultural, so there's no reason it wouldn't be similar to any other wedding. But some atheists prefer to legalize it without a ceremony.
Probably everything except teh invisible sky critter stuff BUT each to his own.

The ONLY thing all atheists agree with is that there are NO invisible sky critters.

That is all.

I wonder if you're at all aware that the Marriage License is a state sanctioned document-agreement-contract ...

Maybe you aren't.

Meh ...

Since the necessity of a marriage ceremony is a historically state inflicted matter in order to control the population and keep statistics for taxation and all officiants of any marriage ceremony must be licensed by the state: not much different (in terms of legality) from any other religion doing the ceremony (since belief in Absolute Zero is similar to belief in Absolute One).
@';Your friendly R/S Amish Rep.';- If you don't stop, I'm going to start reporting you. I've had enough of your ridiculous bashing and you don't actually answer any questions. You just answer every question with ';They worship satan'; or something along those lines. Either answer questions in a real way or gtfo.

As for the actual question- Any way we would like really. My girl and I still have yet to figure out how we would like ours. It's really about personal preference since we aren't supposed to have our wedding a certain way.

I think people really don't understand this- Atheism isn't a religion. We don't have a church. We take the label because it describes us: we don't believe there is a god or gods. It's like the label ';American';. You could be very different from someone else that has that label too, but the label loosely defines anyone who is a citizen or the United States.
All I need is a judge or an designated official to certify our marriage contract with the presence of a few members of family behind us.

No parties, but we will have a nice gathering at home as if we are throwing a open-house party. Nice guests. Nice food. Great time.
Pretty much normal, just without the religious vows.
For my wedding we had a regular wedding, just had a state official read our vows rather than a priest.
I would probably want to go to the city hall. Or it might be fun to get married by a captain on a boat.
I think it has to involve an Elvis impersonator to be official.
I think they probably decide for themselves what they want to do. I know some write their own vows.
Wedding in town hall and party at our own house. Lots of friends and family attended.
Theyre in league with the devil, so they pray to him during their ';vows';
