How much does it cost to get married in a church?

I am catholic and my fiancee and I plan on marrying in a church.. I know all churches have different prices but im just curious what a ballpark range is? Thanks a bunch.How much does it cost to get married in a church?
My daughter was married this past October.





The Church cost $150.00


Organist $150.00


Soloist $100.00





You are not required to have an organist and soloist. You can improvise with recorded music, or have a friend play or sing.





The Church cost is negotiable depending on your ability to pay.





My daughter and son-in-law were told they could pay the priest whatever they felt appropriate. They chose to give him $50.00.How much does it cost to get married in a church?
The cost of churches go from cheap to outrageous. Im getting married in about 2 weeks (May 2nd :) and our church is charging us $35 for the church and $100 for the minister. A friend of mine her church wanted to charge $300 and then $150 for the minister. So your looking anywhere from $30-500, depending on the church then the fee for the minister.
We are getting married in our church for free because we are members. The church suggests a ';free will'; donation, we are giving $200 to our pastor and $300 to the church.

This might sound crazy, but if you are interested in a free wedding, just find a local Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Find out who one of their bishops are. They will marry you for free anywhere you want at no cost and no obligation whatsoever. :)
I'm getting married in a Roman Catholic church and the fee before donation is $500.00 (donation optional).

Pricey? yes I know but compare how much is being spent on the wedding.... then the Church fee is actually not much at all.
The priest at the church is happy to perform the ceremony for his parishioners. The priest will not mention the fee, but a donation to the church is acceptable. I suggest $100.
Our church expense is $550 and we trimmed it down from $700 because we asked if we could use a CD instead of paying $150 for the organist.

Anywhere between free and $1,000. If you belong to a church it is usually just a clean up fee (around $50-175).
when I got married our godparents paid for the mass and it was $300 I believe.
