What are the benefits for soldier if married after basic?

Does the soldier get any benefits? higher pay?

what about the family? housing? would the wife get to move from current home to be with her husband? What are the benefits for soldier if married after basic?
The family once they are on the soldiers Page two listing them as dependents, will get full medical benefits. The soldier will also get paid a housing allowance with dependents which can used to pay rent for a home together. They don't get paid extra for being married so depending on the soldiers paygrade you need to make sure that their pay is enough to support the family or the new spouse will need to get a job also. Paygrades E4 and below usually have a very hard time living on the pay of only the the soldier especially if there are children also. What are the benefits for soldier if married after basic?
Not really higher pay - you'd either get to live in housing on post and get no BAH (housing allowance) or you live off post and get BAH.

And you'll get health insurance.

You do NOT get extra pay for having children either.
The only change in pay is BAH (basic allowance for housing). If the soldier and his wife choose to live off post, they would get BAH to cover their rent. If they live on post, that money would go to the housing office and they would never see it. Either way, she can live with him unless he is on an unaccompanied tour (Korea, etc) or deployed.

He would also start drawing BAS (Basic Allowance for Subsistence) once he moves out of the barracks. This money is to make up for the fact that he is no longer allowed to eat at the chow hall. Its about $270 a month for all enlisted soldiers. It doesn't matter whether he is married or not.

Other benefits include free healthcare, cheap dental insurance, and PX/commissary privileges. I save a ton of money by doing most of my shopping at the PX and commissary.
The benefits are actually really good. The thing is that if u get married after basic you have to make sure that it is done before the Soldier actually makes it to their new unit or else the army will not pay the soldier to move their family. The soldier should receive about 10 days to do the move whether to pack or unpack your belongings. They do receive rent help which is called BAH and that depends on what base the soldier is at, its based on the average rent around the Base. The family gets fully covered in health but dental the soldier has to call a company and enroll them. You get the info from the Tricare on base. Hope this helps, I'm sure I forgot something so if u want to know more google military BAH and that should let you know at least the extra pay u get. Oh ya and you also receive rations which is 240 for me but Im at fort hood, tx I dont know about other places.
