Navy man married in Philippines has been seperated 6 years. How does he go about getting a divorce?

My boyfriend married in the Philippines while in the Navy and moved back to the US 6 years ago and left her there. What does he need to do to get a divorce?Navy man married in Philippines has been seperated 6 years. How does he go about getting a divorce?
If he was married in the Philippines, he cannot get divorced. Divorce is not allowed in the Philippines. He has to apply for an annulment, but she can always contest that.

Unfortunately this happens to so many men. The military often warns men about not marrying in the Philippines, but to get married in the US because there are too many dishonest women who try to trap them in marriage knowing they can never get divorced.
