Who gets better tax benefits married or single filers?

I was under the impression that more tax breaks and benefits existed for joint filers or married couples, but someone told me otherwise. Can someone clarify?Who gets better tax benefits married or single filers?
Married get two exemptions and a higher standard deduction so if a earner is married they will pay less. Two earners would be better off if they stay single.Who gets better tax benefits married or single filers?
Usually the married couple would do the same or better than two single people filing single returns with the same income and deductions, but that isn't always the case. At higher incomes, the single pair would often do better - and at low incomes, eligibility for EIC can make the single people better off.
It varies with the tax laws and changes made every year.

A single tax payer has actually had a larger standard deduction than married-filing jointly had since the married couple has to basically split the deduction between them.

Everyone gets the same tax breaks, the same medical deductions, etc. if you qualify for them.

A single tax payer may qualify for EIC while a married couple won't.

A single person with 1 qualifying child will do better than a single person with no child.
Married but if you have children you get a better tax break.
